Triggering Talk for Guns on CampusThe Missouri Senate has yet to debate the college campus conceal and carry bill, but it has students talking. Mizzou College Republicans and Democrats co-sponsored a forum.

Missouri Surges for EfficiencyA study shows Missouri improved energy efficiency in the past year. Missouri ranks 6th in the nation for the least-expensive energy costs affecting businesses. That's up by 10 spots from 2008. The Small Business and Entrepreneurship Council's study is based on the price of regular gasoline and the electricity cost. Click here to read the entire story. |
Supporting the Humane SocietyThe Central Missouri Humane Society came in first and won $10,000 in phase one of the ZooToo.com Million Dollar Shelter Makeover contest. Two Columbian girls entered the society in the contest and urged people to visit the Web site to earn points. People are hopeful that the society will continue to do well in phases two and three. Increase in Jobless ClaimsMissouri had the nation's second highest increase in unemployment claims last week. About 2,942 more Missourians who had jobs last week, don't now. According to new U.S. Department of Labor numbers, about 5.7 million Americans are claiming unemployment benefits. Click here to read the entire story. |
