'We Day' Inspires Local Students to Make a Difference

KeyArena buzzed with excitement as 15,000 students from 400 middle and high schools across the state celebrated community service and helping others at We Day Seattle on March 27, 2012.

Alexis Lundt, a ninth grader at Curtis High School, said she has been involved with various service projects at the school. Through the experience, Alexis said her eyes have been opened to the fact that many children lack the basic necessities that others take for granted.

“It really humbles you,” she said. “When I can give to someone, and I can see someone smile…that means everything to me.”
